It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Zulema R. Rodriguez, age 88, who left this world on February 2, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas. Born on March 22, 1936, in Mexico, Zulema was a cherished matriarch whose life was dedicated to her family, friends, and her community.

A devoted housewife, Zulema embraced the joys of family life, fostering an environment of love, laughter, and warmth. She was a spirited dancer, an avid listener of music, and a nurturing caretaker of her beloved plants. Zulema also had a passion for travel, exploring new places and creating stories that would become one of the many treasures she shared with her family.

Renowned for her kindness and helpfulness, Zulema was a beloved neighbor and friend. Her deep faith as a devout Catholic guided her life and was a pillar of strength for those she knew. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Francisco and Josefina Ramos, her husband, Cirildo Rodriguez, her sons, Jose Manuel Rodriguez, Raul Rodriguez, and her six brothers and sisters.

She resides in the hearts of her surviving children, Rigoberto (Eladia) Rodriguez, Javier (Rosa) Rodriguez, Norma Alicia Morales, Maria Elena Rodriguez, Ruben (Graciela) Rodriguez, 25 grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; along with other loving relatives and friends. 

The family will be receiving condolences on Friday morning, February 7, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services, 719 Loring at Cortez.; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 8:30 a.m.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday morning, February 7, 2025 departing at 9:30 a.m. from Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels to San Vicente de Paul Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
