ZULEMA G. DE LLANO
December 26, 1929 – August 23, 2023
Our dear, sweet mother, Zulema G. de Llano passed away peacefully in the embrace of our dear Lord on Wednesday, August 23, at the age of 93.
Zulema entered the world on December 26, 1929 and was blessed to have spent her young and impressionable years in the small coal mining town of Dolores, Texas. She endured many hardships during this time that later proved instrumental in molding the dynamic businesswoman that she would later become.
Zulema was a dear friend to many and it was almost impossible to walk into any public space without someone stopping to share and exchange pleasantries with her.
She was blessed to have shared 54 loving years with her devoted husband, Fernando, who preceded her in death on May 5, 2014. Also preceding her in death are her parents, Eulalio and Josefa Linares Garza; brothers, Oscar (Bertha+) Garza, and baby Faustino Garza; and sisters, Aurora (Oscar+) Cavazos, Estela G. Olivares, Francisca G. (Ildefonso+) Cardenas, Rebecca (Frank+) Leon, and Bertha (Jimmy+) Flores.
Left to cherish her memory are her three children; Rosa de Llano Huff, Matias de Llano III, and Fernando (Cynthia) de Llano, Jr., and her six grandchildren, whom she loved dearly; Juliana Day (Rodolfo) de Leon, Jacobo Matias de Llano IV, Samuel Dellano Huff, Sara Margaret de Llano, Cristina Rebecca de Llano, Mia Dolores de Llano, and many nieces and nephews. She was also most recently blessed with one great grandchild, Florencia de Leon.
Our family wishes to extend a sincere appreciation to our mothers devoted caregivers: Monica Martinez (Blissful Primary Home Care), Angelita Matadamas, Bernadina Morin, Veronica Sanchez, Consuelo Guerrero, and Melissa Cantu Cigarroa (Superior Nursing Care). Also, to our dear cousins, Leticia Garza, Diana Garcia, and Zulema Flores Solis, for your support during this difficult time.
Our family would like to thank Dr. Carlos G. Cigarroa for his selfless and constant care of our mother whom she adored greatly and was dear to her heart.
Pallbearers will be: Jacob M. de Llano, Samuel D. Huff, Jimmy Flores, Marc Garcia, Dr. Carlos Cigarroa, Guillermo Casso, Rodrigo de Llano, and Mario Cavazos.
