Virginia Castillo, 66, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Monday, April 18, 2022.

She was preceded in death by her husband Roel Castillo; grandson Michael Speer; parents, Guadalupe and Minerva Melendez; sisters, Maricela (Joe) Moreno, Minerva (Juventino) Rojas; brothers, Rafael (Graciela) Melendez, and Roberto Melendez.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Virginia de la Cruz, Vanessa (Juan) Garcia, Viviana (Julio) Rodriguez, Isabel (Diego) Robles; 10 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.  She is also survived by her siblings, Evangelina (Juan) Melendez, Armandina (Andres) Martinez, Ofelia (Ricardo) Vargas, Herminia (Ramon) Vera, Imelda Melendez, Antonio (Rosa) Melendez, Rosario (Rosalio) Jimenez, along with other loving relatives and friends.

The family will be receiving condolences on Saturday, April 30, 2022 from 5pm to 9pm at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services, 719 Loring at Cortez.; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 7 p.m.

A private cremation will be held at a later date.
