Vicente Salinas

Vicente Salinas, beloved husband, father, grandfather and uncle entered the kingdom of heaven on Tuesday, October 05, 2010 at the age of 90. "Chente" as he was affectionately called, was a great auto mechanic who enjoyed helping all those who came to him for assistance. He owned and operated Salinas Auto Repair for over 60 committed years. He took tremendous pride in his work and was an honest, hardworking, and dedicated family man. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his children Roberto Salinas, Rosario Mendez, and Velma L. Salinas; great-grandson Hector Salinas; and siblings Miguel and Fidel Salinas, Antonia S. Sanchez, and Zulema S. Martinez.

He is survived by his loving wife, Hortencia T. Salinas; children, Miguel (Guadalupe) Salinas, Leticia (Rene) Rodriguez, and Gerardo (Cynthia) Salinas; daughter-in-law, Elodia Salinas; son-in-law, Roberto Mendez; and brother Pedro (Lucia "") Salinas. He is also survived by his 18 adored grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 18 great-great-grandchildren as well as by numerous nieces, nephews, other loved relatives and friends.-

Pallbearers will: Rene Rodrguez, Jr., Roberto Rodrguez, Michael Rodrguez, John Amaya, James Amaya, Vicente Salinas and Roberto Salinas.
