TS Reynaldo Ramirez, US Air Force, Ret., 76, entered into eternal rest on Saturday evening, October 04, 2014. Reynaldo was born in Laredo, Texas and was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, registered nurse, and retired military hero. He lived his life to the fullest and did so without the conquest of fear, teaching us the nobility of departing with dignity. He married his high school sweetheart, Berta H. Carrillo in 1958 and left a legacy of honor and commitment to his family. He will be fondly remembered for his love of the guitar in the musical style of Trio Los Panchos. He will be buried in full military honors to commemorate his patriotic service to our nation during times of peace and war. He was preceded in death by his parents, Margarito and Ernestina Ramirez. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 55 years of marriage, Berta H. Ramirez; children, Reynaldo (Camille) Ramirez, Jr., Norma (Baltazar) Vichareli, and David (Mingbo) Ramirez; grandchildren, Reynaldo Ramirez, III, Rachel Ramirez, Baltazar R. Vichareli, Javier Vichareli, Carlos Vichareli, David C. Ramirez and Rene N. Ramirez; sister, Ofelia (Andrew ) Martinez; brothers, Ernesto (Graciela) Ramirez, and Reymundo (Emma ) Ramirez. Also surviving him are numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, newphews, other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends and guests on Wednesday morning, October 08, 2014 from 7 to 10:15 a.m. at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels, 719 Loring at Cortez where a Rosary will be recited at 8 a.m. Funeral Procession will depart at 10:15 a.m. from the Heights Chapel to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Pallbearers will be: Baltazar G. Vichareli, Baltazar R. Vichareli, Javier G. Vichareli, David Ramirez, Reynaldo Ramirez, Jr., Ernesto Ramirez, and Rusty Rice. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Reymundo Ramirez, Carlos Vichareli, David C. Ramirez, Rene N. Ramirez, and Reynaldo Ramirez, III. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the family plot in the Laredo City Cemetery. Military Honors will be provided.
