Tomasita Garcia

Garcia, 91, died at Spohn Kleberg Hospital in Kingsville, Texas on Saturday, June 16, 2012 after a sudden illness. She was born on December 20, 1920 in Laredo, Texas to Bernabe Garcia and Francisca Garza Garcia.

Tommie graduated from Martin High School in Laredo in 1941. She worked at S.H. Kress until her retirement in 1984.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, her brothers: Ignacio Garcia, Agapito Garcia, Sr. and Eusebio Garcia; her sisters: Carmen Mata, Tomasa Flores, Camila Garcia, Guadalupe Serna and Juanita Garcia.

She is survived by her numerous nieces and nephews, especially Gino (+David) Castillo of Kingsville, Texas; Elida Garcia of Laredo, Texas; Esperanza Martinez of Joliet, Illinois; Olga (Raul) Valdez of Addison, Illinois; and Agapito (Esther) Garcia of Laredo, Texas.
