Mr. Tomas Casarez, 90, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, February 26, 2019.

He was preceded in death by his wife San Juana S. Casarez; his parents, Apolonio and Jacoba Casarez; and his siblings, Jose Casarez, Juanita Casarez, Natividad (Lucia) Casarez, Basilio (San Juana) Casarez, Sabas Casarez, Clemente Casarez, and Maria (Ramon +) Ortiz.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Thelma (Joey) Hernandez, Delma (Hector) Garza, Juan Tomas (Hilda) Casarez, Adelmira (Ramiro) Vasquez; 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; and his sister-in-law Francisca Casarez. He is also survived by other numerous loving relatives and friends.

The family will be receiving condolences on Friday evening, March 1, 2019 from 4 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels & Cremation Services, 719 Loring at Cortez; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 7 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday morning, March 2, 2019 departing at 8:30 a.m. from Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels to San Vicente de Paul Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m.

Pallbearers will be: Andy Munoz, Ramiro Rodriguez, Lee Roy Rodriguez, Robin Rodriguez, Ryan Flores, Hector Diaz, Joey Hernandez, and Daniel Castillo.

A private cremation will be held at a later date.
