THOMAS EARL PICHOT January 27, 1938 - March 30, 2015 Thomas Earl Pichot, of Laredo, entered into eternal rest on Monday, March 30, 2015 at the age of 77. Thomas was born on January 27, 1938 in Hondo, Texas to C. J. and Alice Saathoff Pichot. He was the eldest of four boys. He was immensely active in a multitude of community events and organizations. He was well known as a public speaker, historian, church leader, and author of many books. He is preceded in death by his parents and his grandparents, Jacob and Louise Gerdes Saathoff and Adolph and Minnie Bendele Pichot; brothers, Dennis Leon, Clifton Charles, and Perry Lee Pichot; uncles, Frank Carrasco and Robert Burger, George (Lee) Pichot, Homer (Ida Mae) Pichot; and aunt, Eva (Archie) Brown. He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Georgia Gwendolyn "Gwen" Partney Pichot; daughters, Glynn Rae Pichot of Flower Mound and Cindee (Charles Keeling) Pichot of Norman, OK; granddaughter, Kayla LaRae Pichot and grandson, Russell Reed Pichot Brandt; his sisters-in-law, Laura Pichot and Maria Guadalupe "Lupita" Pichot; brothers-in-law, Richard (Mary) Partney of McCamey, C.H. (Barbara) Partney of Lake Whitney, James (Beverly) Partney of San Antonio, Larry Partney of Brackettville; sisters-in-law, Hattie Berleth of Bracketteville and Leta (Glen) Andrew of Kerrville; his aunts, Ada Carrasco, Adell Burger, both of Uvalde, Cecil Partney of Adair OK, and Cindy Dodd of Canyon Lake; and many nephews, nieces and cousins. Visitation will be held Friday, April 3, 2015 from 5 to 7 in the evening at Guinn-Horger Funeral Home, 2006 Avenue M., Hondo, Texas 78861, (830)741-2224. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at the Guinn-Horger Chapel at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the family plot, Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section, 400 County Rd. 443.
