Thelma R. Gutierrez, 78, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, September 26, 2010 with her family by her side.

Mrs. Gutierrez was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother.-After more than 20 years of teaching for LISD she retired to enjoy the family ranch and most especially her horses.

Mrs. Gutierrez was preceded in death by her parents; Reynaldo and Laurentina G. Rodriguez.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Diego A. Gutierrez, her daughter, Laura G. (Carlos) Elizondo, and her son, Lauro A. (Mary Lou) Gutierrez.-She was also the proud grandmother of five grandsons, Carlos A. Elizondo, II, Cristian A. Elizondo, Cesar A. Elizondo, Lauro A. Gutierrez, Jr., and Luis A. Gutierrez.-She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives.-She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels, 1410 Jacaman Road from 5:30 pm to 9 in the evening.-A Vigil will be held at 7 in the evening.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, September 30, 2010 at St. Patrick Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m.-Cortege will depart at 9:30 a.m. from Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels.

Private burial for her immediate family will take place at the family ranch following services.
