Silvina Martinez

Silvina C. Martinez, 87, entered into eternal rest on Friday, May 2, 2014. Silvina is preceded in death by her loving husband: Alberto Martinez; children: Fernando Martinez, Alejandro (Josie) Martinez, and Veronica Martinez. She is survived by her children: Gloria (Homero) Gonzalez, Juan Jose (Lucilla) Martinez, Alberto (Martha) Martinez, Margarita (Carlos) Talamantes, Meri (Rafael) Rodriguez, Sylvia Martinez, Rogelio (Rosie) Martinez, Graciela (Richard) Brulloths, Bertha (Rudy) Mendez; 34 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren; her sisters: Cruz Victoria Saldaa, Manuela Castillo; brother: Guadalupe Castillo; and sister-in-law: Mercedes Castillo. She is also survived by numerous loving relatives and friends. A Special thanks to Nurses on Wheels and staff, and Dr. David Cruz for their utmost patience and care given to our Mother. Visitation will be held Monday, May 5, 2014 at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels, 719 Loring @ Cortez from 5 to 9 in the evening. A Rosary will be held at 7 in the evening. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, May 6, 2014. Mass times remain pending. Pallbearers are: Homero David Gonzalez, Carlos Talamantes, Jr., Rogelio Martinez, Jr., Juan Jose Martinez, Jr., Rafael Rodriguez III., Richard Brulloths, Jr., David Martinez, and Arturo Arredondo III. Honorary Pallbearers are: Gloria Gonzalez, Margarita Talamantes, Meri Rodriguez, Sylvia Martinez, Graciela Brulloths, Bertha Mendez, Juan Jose Martinez, Alberto Martinez, Jr., Rogelio Martinez, George Martinez, and Fernando Brulloths. Interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
