Sham Idnani

On Friday the 10th of April 2015, Mr. Sham "Sam" Motiram Idnani, 65, passed away at a local hospital surrounded by his family. He was born in Bombay, India and had been a resident of Laredo since 1977. Sham completed his schooling in India. He moved to Hong Kong in 1967 and then to New York in 1975 alongside his wife, Saju Idnani. They were blessed with their son, Vinod in 1976 and their daughters Kavita in 1978 and Pooja in 1989. His first business venture was known in downtown as SNS Imports, Inc. which he operated for 20 years. He was mostly known in Laredo for his business of 15 years Sam's Liquor. He was a loving husband, father, and friend and he will be truly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Motiram and Bhagwanti Idnani; brother, Girdhari Idnani; and sister, Meera Idnani. Sam is survived by his beloved wife, Saju Sham Idnani; children, Vinod Sham Idnani (Mansha), Kavita Sham Idnani-Ramos (Mike) and Pooja Sham Idnani-Aranda (Raul); grandchildren, Ishaan, Esha, Natasha, Krishan and Karishma; as well as by brother, Sunder Idnani (Ramola). The family will receive condolences on Sunday morning, April 12, 2015 from 9 to 11 a.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels, 1410 Jacaman Rd., where prayers will be recited. Cremation service will continue at the crematory.
