Sergio A. Casarez Jr., 16, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Saturday, March 13, 2021.

Jr was a loving son and brother who enjoyed spending time with his family. Jr’s most favorite pastime was anything that involved being held by his grandma, he knew a simple yell would get her to hold him. He also enjoyed listening to Christian music, dangling off of mom, being massaged, sitting in the outdoors, and being in the water. There are many things we will miss and remember from our sweet boy, but most of all, his beautiful laugh and smile.

He was preceded in death by paternal grandmother; Dora A. Casarez, great-grandmother: Epifaria Casarez & Melania Roman, paternal aunt, Maria A. Casarez-Nuñez.

Left to cherish his memory are loving parents: Sergio A Casarez Sr. & Michele Roman, siblings: Cassandra Casarez (David Sanchez), Isaiah Casarez & Cristian Casarez, niece: Olivia Sanchez, maternal grandparents: Oscar & Maria Roman, aunts and uncles: Hilda Roman (Gilbert Blanco), Oscar Roman Jr, Jessica (Daniel) Zapata, Claudia (Danny) Jimenez, and Jesus A. Casarez (Janneisy) as well as numerous friends and family.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services, 1410 Jacaman Rd.; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 7 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday morning, March 17, 2021 departing at 8:30 a.m. from Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m.

A private cremation service will be held at a later date by JJFC Cremation Services.

Pallbearers will be: Sergio A. Casarez, Oscar Román, Sr., Oscar Román, Jr., Jesse Velázquez, Isaiah Casarez, Joey Varela, Mario Nuñez & Armando Casarez.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Cristian Casarez, Oscar Barrera, Mario Barrera, Jr and David Sanchez.

The family would like to extend their most heartfelt gratitude to: Dr. Antonio Rodriguez.
