Sarai Moore Salinas, 43, entered into the Kingdom of Heaven, late Friday, July 24, 2015. She was faithfully surrounded by her loving, caring, and supportive family and friends by her side. Sarai was born in Tampico, Mexico. She lived her early years in Houston and Ingleside, Texas and attended Ingleside High School. She further pursued her Associates at Del Mar College in Corpus Christi, Texas. In 1999, she moved to Laredo and met her spouse, Joseph A. Salinas, in 2005 whom together shared seven and a half years of marriage. She was a former court reporter for the Webb County Court at Law #1, Judge Alvino "Ben" Morales until 2012. They belonged to St. Patrick Catholic Church. She was a member of the Women's ACTS Movement. Sarai was a faithful and devoted wife, mother and friend; she will be dearly missed, but never forgotten. Sarai is survived by her loving husband of seven years, Joseph A. Salinas; her children Ava Elizabeth Meurer, Mary Catherine Salinas, and John David Salinas; her former spouse, George "Rusty" (Belinda) Meurer; parents in law, Juan A. (Janet K.) Salinas; siblings in law, Juan A. (Joanne) Salinas Jr., Jo Ann (Ruben) Lopez; aunts and uncles, Oscar D. Salinas Jr., Judge Elma T. (David) Salinas- Ender; William V. "Billy" Weeks and grandmother, Elma Lopez Salinas as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and other loved relatives and friends. A special acknowledgement to her physicians: Dr. Gary Unzeitig, Dr. John Knecht, Dr. Gary Arishita, and his nurse R.N. Heather, Dr. Mohsen Ghadimi-Mahani, R.N. Valerie Vedia, Dr. Manuel Jovel and staff. We also acknowledge all her close friends who stood by her side and who helped us and her either by prayers or physical presence. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 27, 2015 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels, 1410 Jacaman Rd. A Rosary and Vigil will commence at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday morning, July 28, 2015 departing at 9:30 a.m. from Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels to St. Patrick Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
