Ms. Sara Alicia Alvarado, 63, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, September 25, 2018, after a long illness. She was surrounded by her loving and caring family at her side. A woman of steadfast and tremendous faith has no gone to sleep in the hope and promise of the resurrection. She worked for most of her life in the import/export business at Transmaritime Inc.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Jose Crispin and Graciela M. Alvarado; nephew-in-law: Antonio Cantu; great-niece: Angela Gali Cantu.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her siblings: Carmen (Juan) Gonzalez, Maria Elena Alvarado, Juan Ramon Alvarado; nieces and nephews: Amanda Cantu, Brenda (Juan) Ochoa, Alexander (Desiree) Ortiz, Andrew (Patricia) Ortiz, Marcos Alvarado, Jonathan Alvarado; great-nieces and nephews: Alexandra Cantu, Destiny Ortiz, Kai Ortiz, Kira Ortiz, Zoey Ortiz, Victoria Ochoa, Jose Ricardo Ochoa, and Sophia Ochoa.
The family will receive guests on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Joe Jackson North Funeral & Cremation Services, 1410 Jacaman Rd., from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m.; a Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.
Funeral procession will depart the funeral chapel on Friday, September 28, 2018 at 8:30 a.m. to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m.
Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
