SALLIE M. MORA
JUNE 26, 1923 - JANUARY 31, 2017

Mrs. Sallie M. Mora, 93, entered in the loving arms of the heavenly father on January 31, 2017 at Laredo Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family at her side. She was born on June 26, 1923 in El Paso, Texas to Manuel and Isabel Martinez.

Together Sallie and her husband Dr. Salvador S Mora established Mora Optical on San Bernardo. They began operations in 1974 and to this day, still continues its operation. Both were born and raised in El Paso, where they met and fell in love; a love that lasted for over 53 years and they establish a loving and extended family.

She is preceded in death by her spouse Dr. Salvador Saul Mora; son: Daniel Lazaro Mora Sr.; great grandchild: Alyssa Ramirez; sister Mary Hall and brother Bernard Martinez.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her children: Salvador Gilberto Mora, Sylvia M. Mora and Dr. David Saul (Deborah) Mora; daughters in law: Linda Mora, Jan Mora, Maria Gamez; grandchildren: Patricia (David) Gonzalez, Diana (Tomas) Ramirez, Salvador Omar (Brandi) Mora, Daniel Lazaro Mora Jr., Alexis (Lilia) Mora, Ian Mora, Katherine Isabella Mora, Ben David Mora, Rachel Sofiana Mora, Anabella Sue Mora and Cinderella Jean Mora as well as by her adored great-grandchildren: Marissa Gonzalez, Cynthia Ramirez, Rebecca Gonzalez, Daniel Ramirez, Isaiah Mora, Isabella Mora, Alexis Daniel Mora; nieces and nephews: Martha Lugo, Bernie Martinez, Alberto Manuel Martinez, Tony Hall and Betty Hall as well as other extended relatives.

The family will receive guests the evening of Thursday the 2nd of February 2017 beginning at 5 o'clock in the evening and ending promptly at 9 o'clock. A rosary for the repose of her soul will be offered at 7 in the evening.

Funeral cortege will depart at 8:20 in the morning from the funeral chapel on Friday the 3rd of February 2017 to St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 o'clock in the morning.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Salvador Omar Mora, Daniel Lazaro Mora Jr., Alexis Mora, Ian Mora, Ben David Mora, David Gonzalez and Tomas Ramirez III.
