Rufino Gonzalez

"A very special angel has gone to heaven to look after us." Rufino N. Gonzalez, 54, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, June 26, 2014. Rufino is preceded in death by his mother: Sara G. Gonzalez; paternal grandparents: Rufino N. and Vicenta L. Gonzalez, Sr.; maternal grandparents: Pablo and Paulina M. Guajardo, Sr.; and aunt: Rosa Maria G. Guardiola. He is survived by his mami: Paulina G. and father (Mario N.) Gonzalez, Sr.; brother: Mario N. Gonzalez, Jr., uncles and aunts: Dr. Ismael (Perla) Guajardo, Raul (Gracie) Guajardo, Rodolfo (Elsa) Guajardo, Candelaria G. Zambrano, Dr. Pablo (Lilly) Guajardo, Jr., Israel (Delia) Gonzalez, and Raquel (Tino) Chapa. He is also survived by numerous cousins, family members, and friends. Special thanks to the staff at Retama Manor South for the care and attention given, and especially to Dr. Carlos M. Llanes. Visitation will be held Sunday, June 29, 2014 at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels, 719 Loring @ Cortez from 5 to 9 in the evening. A Vigil will be held at 7 in the evening. Funeral Services will be held Monday, June 30, 2014 at Christ the King Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Cortege will depart at 9:30 a.m. from Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels. Interment will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Mario N. Gonzalez Jr., Rodolfo Guajardo Jr., Ruben Guajardo, Miguel Angel Guajardo, Ismael Guajardo Jr., Daniel Meinsinger Sr., Daniel Meinsinger Jr. and George Martinez.
