Ruben Walter Martinez, 77, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Tuesday, October 13, 2020. Ruben was born on August 5th, 1943 in Montevideo, Uruguay to father Juan Jose Martinez and mother Herminia F. de Martinez. He was known throughout the community as a hard working man, knowledgeable engineer and mechanic, active in the sport of billiards, and a great friend to all that knew him. He will forever be remembered for his great charismatic and helpful attitude, and his ambition for his craft. The Martinez Family would like to express their sincerest, Thank You, for everyone’s continuous condolences, support, and prayers.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Emma Martinez, his late son, Ruben Walter Martinez II, his three beloved sons, Mark A. Martinez, Adrian F. Martinez, and Alejandro Martinez, daughter-in-law, Anna Ardolino, and his granddaughter, Victoria Martinez, his sister, Susana Pecinkas, his niece, Andrea Pecinkas, his nephew, J. J. Pecinkas and wife, Mona Pecinkas and their beautiful baby, J. V., his cousin, Jose Luis Leiton and his wife, Gladys Leiton, his brother-in-law, J. J. Rodriguez and his sons, J. J. and Roberto, his sister-in-law, Delfina Waldo and her husband, Rene Waldo, and their sons, Aaron and Christian Waldo, alongside the many families and friends.
The family will be receiving condolences on Friday evening, October 16, 2020 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels & Cremation Services, 1410 Jacaman Rd.; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 7 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday morning, October 17, 2020 departing at 11:40 am to St. Patrick Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon.
The family would like to extend their most heartfelt gratitude to: Dr. Ricardo G. Cigarroa, thank you for your support and taking care of our beloved father and husband.
