Miss Rosario Mascorro, 87, entered into her eternal rest on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at a local hospital. She was born in Laredo, Texas on March 14, 1929 to Mercurio and Josefa Mascorro, who predecease her. She is also preceded in death by her siblings: Mercurio Mascorro Jr., Eloisa Aguilar, Josefina Valdez, Salvador Mascorro, Jose Natividad Mascorro, Consuelo Reed and Maria Margarita Gonzalez.

Surviving her are her siblings: Maria Magdalena Mascorro of San Antonio, Texas; Armando Mascorro of Wichita, Kansas; Rev. Deacon Susano Mascorro of Dayton, Ohio and Sister Rita Joseph Mascorro, OSU of St. Louis, Missouri, as well as their extended families.

Rosario served the needs of many children in Laredo throughout her career as an educator for the public school district as well as having been a faithful volunteer with various Religious Education programs throughout the city. She attended Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, until most recently when her health began to decline. Although she is gone, we know she is at peace in the loving arms of her relatives and her God. We lift up our prayers for the repose of her soul.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral and Cremation Services, 1410 Jacaman Rd.

Gathering with the family will begin at 10:30 a.m.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery at 12:30 p.m.
