Ms. Rosario Arminda Ruiz, 81, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, February 2, 2020, at her home surrounded by her family.
Rosario was born in Laredo, Texas on November 27, 1938. She graduated from St. Augustine High School in Laredo. She then graduated from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas where she received a degree in B.S. Medical Technology. She was a member of the Registry of Medical Technologists of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists, and she was a qualified exceptional medical technologist. She worked at the Cigarroa Medical Laboratory over 40 years. Then, she worked at Mercy Hospital and LMC until retirement.
She was a very caring, benevolent, thoughtful, and dedicated person that was passionate about her work. She was known for always lending a helping hand throughout her life. She will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents Leopoldo Ruiz and Manuela R. Ruiz, uncle Eduardo Romanos, brothers Jose Manuel (Beatriz +) Ruiz, Jorge Esparza, Jr., grandmother Ines Gregory Romanos, and grandfather Clemente Romanos.
Rosie will be lovingly remembered by her family; nephews and nieces, brother Leopoldo (Belia +) Ruiz, Jr., sister-in-law Josephine Rendon Ruiz, nephews and nieces Leopoldo (Carmen) Ruiz III, Teresita (Luis +) Guerra, Clemente+ R. (Elma) Ruiz, Dora (Rogelio +) Santos, Eduardo L. (Cindy) Ruiz, Rosario A. (Ramiro) Galindo, Jesus J. (Monica) Ruiz, Jose M. Ruiz, David (Lorena) Ruiz, Juan Polo (Lily) Ruiz, and Gabriel (Melissa) Guajardo. Rosario will also be forever remembered by her numerous great-nephews, great-nieces, great-great nephews, great-great-nieces, extended family, coworkers and dear friends.
The family will be receiving condolences on Sunday evening, February 9, 2020 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels & Cremation Services, 719 Loring at Cortez; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 7 p.m.
Funeral services will be held Monday morning, February 10, 2020 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church for a Mass at 8:30 a.m. Everyone is encouraged to meet at church.
Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Laredo City Cemetery.
