Rosa Texas

Rosa Maria Cruz, 77, passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2017. She died peacefully with her daughter, and family by her side.

Mrs. Cruz was born and raised in Laredo, Texas. Mrs. Cruz was married to Victor Cruz in 1940, who died in 2011. Together they raised 4 children. She was a very dedicated mother and wife. She was employed as a personal banker with the Laredo National Bank for 36 years. Mrs. Cruz was diagnosed with cancer in April 2016 and she fought until she was called by the Lord. She was a very outgoing, kind, caring person and touched the lives of all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Victor Cruz, her son, Victor Cruz Jr., and parents, Pedro & Navidad Rodriguez.

She is survived by her daughter, Christina Cruz; and sons, Rodolfo “Rudy” Cruz & Ezequiel (Rosario) Cruz. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Samantha Gonzalez, Victoria Martinez, Rodolfo Cruz Jr., Arlene Cruz, Enrique Cruz, Jerrold Delgado Jr., Jennifer Delgado, Elida Garza, Marcos Ezequiel Cruz, Alyssa Cruz, Toni Cruz, Amber N. Diaz & Bobbie D. Medellin.

The family will be receiving guests on Monday evening, May 29, 2017 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels & Cremation Services, 1410 Jacaman Rd.; where a Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday morning, May 30, 2017 departing at 8 a.m. from Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels to San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m.

Interment will follow immediately after Mass at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Rudy Cruz, Rudy Cruz Jr., Enrique “Kike” Cruz, Sergio Barragan, Javier Torres, Beto Santa Cruz, Jerrold Delgado and Jesus “Chuy” Santos.
