Rolando Ramos Sr.

Rolando Ramos Sr., 63, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 23, 2011. He entered peacefully into eternal rest with his family at his bedside.

Mr. Ramos was born in Heidelberg, Germany on January 27, 1948. He attended St. Mary Elementary in Temple, TX., Wilson Elementary in Hawaii, Springlake Elementary in Fort Brogg, N.C., and Thomas Jefferson Jr. High School in Fort Still, OK., before moving to Laredo. Upon graduating from Martin High School, where he participated in baseball, Mr. Ramos worked for Mercy Hospital for nine years (1968-1977) and the Laredo Kidney Center for 32 years earning the Best Dialysis Technician of the year-in 1994, before retiring.-Mr. Ramos was a loving and caring husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend to all. He enjoyed all types of sports especially baseball. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Mr. Ramos was preceded in death by his parents retired Army Sgt. Bruno Ramos Sr. and Mrs. Jelica "Erika" Ramos of the former Yugoslavia. Also by his beloved uncle and aunt, Tranquilino and Josefa Hilario; his parent-in-law, Victor and Manuela Trevino; as well as other relatives including both brother and sisters-in-law.

He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years Francisca T. Ramos; son, Rolando (Cindy) Ramos Jr.; sister, Jelica "Erika" Ramos, and brother Bruno Ramos Jr. Rolando is also survived by numerous relatives and friends.
