Rodolfo Echavarria Jr.

Rodolfo S. Echavarria, Jr., entered into eternal rest on Thursday, March 5, 2015. Our beloved father, Rodolfo S. Echavarria, Jr. was known as "Fito" by all who knew and loved him. He loved his children, family, and friends. He had a great appreciation for music, food, and good wine when shared with the people he loved. Hunting, shooting, fishing, and the outdoors were his passion and he was always happiest out at the ranch. His gift for making people laugh and bringing joy to everyone who knew him will always be remembered. Our hearts are comforted in knowing that he is reunited in Heaven with our brother Rudy and our grandparents. Rodolfo S. Echavarria, Jr., is preceded in death by his son, Rodolfo S. Echavarria, III; father, Rodolfo Echavarria Rubio; and mother, Elva Elizondo Echavarria. He is survived by his daughter, Cristina Echavarria-Hassan (Christopher Hassan); daughter, Carla Echavarria; grandson, Raymond Martin Somoza; daughter, Rebecca Annali Echavarria; his wife of 22 years of marriage, Cristina G. Botello; brother, Dr. Armando Echavarria (Oralia G. Echavarria); and sisters, Elva E. Villa (Dr. Oscar Villa G.) and Rosa Isabel E. Villa (Rodolfo Villa G.). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other loving relatives, and friends. Visitation will be held Monday, March 09, 2015 at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels, 1410 Jacaman Road from 5 to 9 in the evening. A Rosary will be recited at 7 in the evening. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, March 10, 2015 departing the funeral home at 8:30 a.m. to Holy Family Catholic Church for a Mass at 9 a.m. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the funeral service professionals at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels, 1410 Jacaman Rd., Laredo, Texas 78041; (956) 722-8850.
