Roberto Musquiz

February 18, 1943 — August 4, 2011

Roberto P. Musquiz, 68, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Thursday, August 04, 2011.

Roberto was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle. He was an honorable man who always sought after the well-being of others. He was quick to lend a hand whenever a person was in need, but most of all he enjoyed teaching others the little things in life that mattered most.-He was blessed with a beautiful life and always led by example, for honoring his wife Victoria for more than 49 years, and has taught his family the true meaning of commitment. He adored spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren whom he loved unconditionally. He was a devout parishioner of Christ The King Church and maintained his unyielding faith in our Lord by reading His word in the bible. Although he was born in San Antonio, Texas, he came to Laredo in 1965 and was employed by Sigmor Shamrock, the River Drive Mall and L&F Distributors where he served as fleet mechanic for numerous years until his retirement. He was an active member and Treasurer of the Gateway Lions Club from 1985 to 1990 and was awarded "Lion of the Year" both in 1986 and 1987. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Erasmo and Romelia Musquiz; siblings, Jesse Musquiz, Erasmo Musquiz, Jr. and Guadalupe Lew; and grandson Armando Rodrguez, III.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of 49 years, Victoria Musquiz; children, Roberto (Dora) Musquiz, Jr., Rosalinda (Arturo) Gomez, Elizabeth A.
