March 16, 1939 - August 16, 2016

Roberto H. Coronado of Nuevo Laredo, Tamps., entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, August 16, 2016, at the age of 77.

Preceded in death by his parents, Mario Coronado and Eva H. Alarcon. Roberto served his country in the U.S. Army. He participated in Operation "Big Lift" in October 1963, transferring personnel and materiel from Fort Hood, Texas to Frankfurt, West Germany in less than 72 hours. Mr. Coronado was working part-time at IMC Recycling in Laredo at the time of his death. He was selfless and sacrificed everything for his family and loved cooking for all

at any time of the day. He loved dancing with his wife as well as traveling to wherever life took him. He had many friends that loved him and will remember him for years to come. His wonderful sense of humor and huge heart will be missed dearly.

Beloved husband of 52 years to Rosa Coronado; loving father of Jose F. Coronado, Roberto G. Coronado (Marty), Javier Coronado (Jennifer), Rosie Coronado-Salazar, Juan Carlos Coronado and Jorge Coronado (Karina). Proud Grandpa "Buelo" of 12 amazing grandchildren, Alexis, Jorge Enrique, Caitlin, Roberto, Juan Carlos, Josef, Cassandra, Ethan, Katia, Isabella, Andrea, and Maximiliano; dearest brother of Mario Coronado; also survived by MANY other friends and family.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2016 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapel; 1410 Jacaman Rd., Laredo, Texas 78041. A Rosary officiated by The Catholic Daughters will commence at 5:30 p.m.

Funeral procession will depart on Friday, August 19, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Patrick Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.

Interment with Military Honors will then follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Military Honors will be provided by American Post Legion 59 and Fort Sam Houston Military Honors.
