Ricardo Valdez

Mr. Ricardo Guadalupe Valdez Jr., 63, entered into his eternal home on Monday, February 18, 2013 surrounded by his loving and caring family at his side.

In the late 1960's, Ricardo opened the Richard Valdez Produce Company, following his passion for farming and cultivating.-He enjoyed seeing the fruits of his labor flourish throughout his life.-With his company, he was able to become a vendor to many local grocery stores, eventually leading to becoming a vendor for H.E.B. for over 40 years.-Together with his family, he strengthened the bonds of love with his adored wife, children and grandchildren.-We can only pray that Ricardo is now resting in the presence of the angels and saints in heaven, where he can look down upon us and watch over us.

He is preceded in death by his parents:-Ricardo G. Valdez, Sr and Juanita Valdez; sister:-Norma Valdez.

Ricardo leaves behind to cherish his memories, his beloved wife of over 43 years of marriage:-Rosa Maria Valdez; children:-Nanette (Roberto) Medina, Susan (Jesse) Jalomo and Ricardo (Nachely) Valdez, III as well as his adored grandchildren:-Anthony Federico Vidaurri III, Alyssa Marie Vidaurri, Ricky Guadalupe Valdez, IV, Kevin Valdez, Shelby Alexis Jalomo, Robert Rene Medina, II, Jesslynn Rose Jalomo and Denise Marie Medina.-He is further survived by his siblings:-Minerva Trevino, Elsa Slaney, Enrique Valdez, Sr., Gerardo Valdez, Leticia Valdez, Abelardo Valdez, Roberto Valdez, Thelma Peskie, Alma Rosa Arce and Javier Valdez.-He will be remembered by all his loving extended friends and other relatives.

Pallbearers will be: Ricardo Guadalupe Valdez Jr., Anthony Federico Vidaurri III, Ricky Guadalupe Valdez IV, Kevin Valdez, Robert Rene Medina II, Roberto Rene Medina Sr., Jesse Jalomo, and Gabriel Briones.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Kidney Foundation or the American Diabetes Association.
