Ricardo Ramirez

December 2, 1988 — September 20, 2014

Ricardo Antonio Ramirez, beloved son of Ricardo and Dianne Ramirez and brother to Christina Ramirez, tragically left this world to enter the kingdom of Heaven on September 20, 2014. Ricky, as he was known by friends and family, was a keen conversationalist, excellent dancer and was able to master anything he tried his hand at. He was a third degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and a second degree black belt in Shotokan. Ricky, ever the scholar, attended the Health and Science Magnet Program at Alexander High School. He was scheduled to graduate from TAMIU with a degree in biology and was an intern at the university genetics lab. Ricky was also a talented entertainer having recently danced on stage with his adoring sister for the "Dia del Rio" and appeared as King Triton in the Laredo Little Theatre's production of "Disney's The Little Mermaid." He was also scheduled to appear in LCC Opera Workshop's production of "Bye Bye Birdy." Ricky was a member of the TAMIU cheer squad and the local cheer squad known as "Cheer FX." He will be sorely missed by his theatre family, his dance family, his martial arts family and his cheer family. Ricky was not only interested in training his mind, but also his body and spirit. Like a shining star on a dark night, Ricky departed this planet doing what he loved best: challenging himself to reach new heights in achievement and preparing for his future adventures. He was planning to visit Mount Everest in 2015 and wanted to serve his country in the Navy. Eventually, Ricky wanted to enter the health and fitness field and start his own training facility. He enjoyed nothing more than helping others, especially children. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather: Ramiro Antonio Ramirez. Left to mourn his loss are grandparents, Tom and Carmela Addison and Maria de Lourdes Ramirez, aunts and uncles, Denise Addison Elizondo (Enrique Sr.), Tom Addison, John Addison (Judy), Ramiro Ramirez (Irma), Luis Ramirez (Mayela), Lourdes Collazo (Alfredo). Ricky will also be missed by his cousins: Denise Elizondo Enrique Elizondo Jr., Ramiro Ramirez IV, Irma Lourdes Ramirez, Luis Ramirez Jr., Carlos Ramirez, Chantal Ramirez and Talia Ramirez, Triana Collazo and Alfredo Collazo, Naomi Ramirez, Luis Ramirez, III, Anissa Ramirez, Natalia Ramirez, Sofia Ramirez.
