Ricardo Floyd

In loving memory of native Laredoan, Ricardo Floyd, who was born September 30, 1927 to Peter & Catarina Floyd. He went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 26, 2012.-Ricardo served in the Air Force as an airplane mechanic before heading to the University of Texas where he met the love of his life, Yvonne. The two settled in Laredo where he served the community as a licensed psychotherapist and Master Social Worker.-He spent the latter part of his career with the Veterans Administration and in private practice.-Ricardo was innovative and generous in his pursuit to help others no matter the circumstance, and will be greatly missed.-

He is preceded in death by his wife Yvonne; grandson, John W. Battle; and siblings, Maria Elena Lozano, Fernando Floyd and Laura Floyd.

He is survived by his four sisters, Beatriz Johnson, Ester Ramos, Julieta Floyd, and Rosa Karavinos; his children, Roger Floyd, Patricia Sanchez, Robert Floyd, Sandra Anderson, & Laura Battle; 9 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.
