Reverend Llano

October 19, 1939 — May 4, 2013

Reverend Father Domingo de Llano, 73, returned to the arms of our Lord on Saturday, May 04, 2013.

Father de Llano graduated Valedictorian of St. Joseph Academy in Laredo, TX and attended Assumption Seminary in San Antonio, Texas 1958-1966, being ordained a Priest at his home parish in Laredo, Texas on May 28, 1966.-His first assignment after ordination was in Mathis, Texas, while his first pastorate was in Woodsboro, Texas.-While a priest for the Diocese of Corpus Christi, he was a faculty member at Corpus Christi Minor Seminary and served as its Spiritual Director and Dean of Students.-He served subsequent years as pastor in Sinton and Refugio TX as well as St. Phillip while ending his pastorate years at San Martin de Porres in Laredo, Texas (1992-1998).-One of the major highlights of his pastorate at San Martin de Porres was the construction of the new church rectory that he designed and commissioned and that now stands as a final testament of the particular and very detailed taste Father de Llano had. This particular rectory is now the model of all rectories that have been built and will be built in the future in this diocese. Having had a vast aptitude for serving, he held the post of Defender of the Bond of the Marriage Tribunal of Diocese of Corpus Christi.-
