Raul Guevara

Raul Guevara, 87, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, June 08, 2017 with his loving wife by his side. He proudly served our country with the U.S. Army during the Korean War and retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 35 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Geronimo Guevara and Isabel Maldonado Guevara.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Norma Garcia Guevara; children, Raul Guevara Jr., Leticia Guevara Jones, Elsa Guevara, Reynaldo (Deleia) Guevara; grandchildren, Andrew Michael Jones, Kaleyah Gibson, Kinley Gibson. He is also survived by numerous loving relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels, 719 Loring at Cortez from 5 to 9 in the evening. A Rosary will be held at 7 in the evening.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 14, 2017 departing the funeral home at 8:30 a.m. to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m.

Interment with Military Honors will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
