Raul Aleman, 81, born in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas on March 12, 1932, went to be with the Lord peacefully and surrounded by his loved ones just as he always wished on Saturday, May 18, 2013.-Raul lived most of his life in Laredo, Texas where he retired after working as a self-employed welder in the oilfield business.-
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.-Raul loved his family and enjoyed working in his yard, playing the "maquinitas" and cards.-There was always a good excuse to light up the Bar-B-Q pit and make his famous carne asada which he enjoyed sharing with his family and friends; whose words will be forever remembered: "vamos a prender el bote."-
He was preceded in death by his parents Atilano and Benita Aleman, his sisters Benedicta (Ignacio) Navarrette, Elvia (Elias) Carrillo and brothers-in-law Rogelio Hernandez and Jorge Garcia.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Guadalupe Aleman; children: Raul (Delia) Aleman; Martin (Sandra) Aleman; Raquel (Omar) Pena; and his grandchildren Marco Aleman, Kristina (Carlos) Costilla, Kazandra Aleman, Alezandra Aleman, and Leezandra Aleman.
He is also survived by his siblings: Consuelo Hernandez, Elena Garcia, Consuelo (Luis) Ruiz, Atilano (Isabel) Aleman, Jose Blas (Graciela) Aleman and Roberto (Guadalupe) Aleman.-He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Martin Aleman, Carlos Garcia, Virgilio Hernandez, Luis Hernandez, Marco Aleman, Omar Pena, Juan Rogelio Hernandez, and Carlos Costilla.
