Ramon Pena

Ramon Pena, 58, passed away peacefully with his children by his side on June 21, 2013.-Ramon bravely confronted and battled cancer for 14 months with all his mighty power.-He was born on August 17, 1954 to the late Maria Elena Baisley Pena and the late Julian Pena in Laredo, Texas.

Mr. Pena was an avid football fan of the Dallas Cowboys!-He worked for the City of Laredo as a Plant Operator with the Utilities Department for 15 years.-One of the many joys he had was giving back to the community by dressing as Santa Claus for the Christmas programs many churches and charities put on each year.

Ramon is survived by his companion of 16 years, Araceli Torres.-In addition, his former wife and the mother of his children:-Irma G. Flores, who survives him and whom together had five children:-Ramon (Amanda) Pena, Jr., Adriana (Manuel) Navarro, Yvette (Ricardo) Medina, Fabiola (Simon) Medina and Juan Carlos (Cindy) Pena.-He is also survived by his step-children:-Rodolfo Trejo, Roxanne Rodriguez and Jesus (Karla) Rodriguez, III.-Further surviving him are his grandchildren:-Jose Manuel Navarro, Jr., Simon Medina, Jr., Melinda Azenette Navarro, Jorge Antonio Medina, Josue Ramon Pena, Maria Elena Pena, Roberto Julian Medina, Fabian Alejandro Pena, Brianna Gabriela Pena, Carlos Nathaniel Pena, Nikolas Julian Navarro, Elizabeth Arianny Pena, Sebastian Adrian Navarro, Joel Joran Rodriguez and soon to arrive Ramon Esteban Pena.-In addition to this beautiful extension of our family, Ramon is survived by his four brothers:-Guadalupe (Ana) Pena, Julian (Bertha) Pena, Jorge (Marta) Pena and Jose Luis (Yvonne) Pena as well as by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
