RAMON "RAYMOND" NONATO MARTINEZ

Ramon Nonato Martinez, 92, entered into peace on the morning of Wednesday, March 30, 2011.-Mr. Martinez served his country in WWII, although most people might remember him as the friendly store clerk at Central Drug Store, where he worked for 65 years. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his loving parents Demetrio and Manuela Martinez; as well as his brother and sisters.

Ramon leaves his beloved wife of 67 years, Albina Benavides de Martinez; children, Demetrio Ramon (Carmela) Martinez, Javier Jose (Rosamaria) Martinez, Manuela (Eduardo J.) Cavazos, and Anselmo A. (Monica) Martinez. He also leaves behind 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 1, 2011 from 8 to 11:30 a.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels, 1410 Jacaman Rd., Laredo, Texas, 78041. Procession will depart at 11:30a.m from the funeral chapel to San Jose Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 p.m.

Interment will follow to the family plot in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
