Ralph Bryant

Ralph Charles Bryant, 78, of Laredo, Texas, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2015. He is survived by his wife, Hortencia of Laredo, Texas, sons Kelly and wife Jana of Hattiesburg, Miss.; Bear and wife Kathy of San Marcos; daughters Melodi Stahl and husband Cowan of Lubbock; and Elizabeth Bryant of Lubbock. He is also survived by 10 Grandchildren - Tara Cass, Rodney Dove, Amber Murken, Matthew Bryant, Tricia Edwards, Dustin Bryant, Melissa Clark, Rance Quisenberry, Zaey Stahl, Zoey Stahl -- and 12 great-grandchildren. On August 11, 1936, in the small town of Whitharral, Texas, Buck and Edith Bryant became the proud parents of a rambunctious boy, Ralph Charles. Ralph grew up in a modest, but very loving home. After graduation from Whitharral High School, Ralph joined the U.S. Army and served in Fairbanks, Alaska, among other places. Following his time in the Army, Ralph began working in the oilfield where he spent many years and traveled the world, working in Texas, Oklahoma, Alaska, Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Singapore and Dubai. In addition to a great love of his family, Ralph had the gift of hospitality, opening his home and entertaining others frequently. He was well known for his big, soft heart and generosity. Visitation will be held for Ralph on Sunday, June 28, 2015 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels in Laredo, Texas. An additional visitation will be held in Levelland, Texas, at George Price Funeral Home, from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, June 29, 2015. The funeral service will be held at College Avenue Baptist Church in Levelland on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at 10:30 a.m., followed by the burial in Whitharral Cemetery.
