Paulina Paula Villarreal Soliz

Paulina (Paula) Villarreal Soliz, 96, entered peacefully into eternal rest at her home, surrounded by her beloved family on Tuesday, July 5, 2022.  She was born in Lampazos de Naranjo Nuevo Leon but was a resident of Laredo, Texas for the past 58 years.

She was a lovable, passive and humble wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law and mother-in-law.  She was always ready to help in times of need and enjoyed tending to her plants.  She will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends.  

Our beloved Paulina was preceded in death by her parents: Cayetano Villarreal and Feliciana Chavarria; husband Dionisio Soliz Orandais (2011); daughter Rosalva Soliz Hernandez (2002); sister Maria de Jesus Villarreal Mata (1987); brothers Juan Villarreal Chavarria, Tomas Villarreal Chavarria (1982), Cayetano Villarreal Chavarria (1986), Reymundo Villarreal Chavarria (1998), Felipe Villarreal Chavarria (2001) and Telesforo Villarreal Chavarria (2018).

She is survived by her children: Tomas (Patricia) Solis, Sr., Jovita Soliz (Adolfo Toledo), Ladislado (Esmeralda) Soliz, Sr., Catarina Soliz, and Dionisio Soliz, Jr.;  grandchildren: Luis Abel Hernandez, Tomas (Maria) Solis, Jr., Melissa (Gerardo Garcia) Solis, Monica (Victor) Medellin, Marco Antonio (Lydia) Solis, Ladislado (Rosa) Soliz, Jr., Jessica Soliz and Joel Soliz; great-grandchildren: Stephanie Marie Solis, Tomas Solis III, Samantha Marie Solis, Ramon Antonio Gonzalez, Jr., Paola Deyanira Gonzalez, Reymundo Arnoldo Gonzalez, Alyssa Yareli Gonzalez, Arianna Belem Gonzalez, Jesus Javier Chavez, Sebastian Alexandro Solis, Aria Mae Solis, Avery Marie Solis, Michael Soliz, Michael Jordan Soliz, and Esmeralda Soliz. She is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.

The family will be receiving condolences on Friday, July 8, 2022, from 5pm to 9pm at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels, 719 Loring at Cortez.  A Rosary will be held at 7 in the evening.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2022, departing the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. to Santo Niño Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Tomas Solis, Sr., Ladislado Soliz, Sr., Dionisio Soliz, Jr., Abel Luis Hernandez, Tomas Solís, Jr., Marco Antonio Solis, and Ladislado Soliz, Jr.  

Honorary pallbearers will be: Víctor Manuel Medellin and Gerardo Garcia.
