Paulina Vazquez

Paulina Pascuala Vazquez was called to Heaven on August 21, 2012 in Laredo, Texas at the age of 92.

Grandma Paulina, as she was known to her family, was born on April 15, 1920 in Bustamante, Mexico.-She was born to Mexican farmers Romulo and Guadalupe Uvalle.-At the early age of 14 she migrated to the United States with her husband where she earned a living as a migrant farmer.-She gave birth to 14 children.-For most of her life as a mother, she raised 12 children on her own.-She taught them by example.-She overcame any of life's difficulties she was faced with.-She raised her children to be respectful individuals with strong morals, work ethics, and family values.-She pursued her dream of becoming a United States Citizen in 1998.-

Her lessons continue to be taught through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.-She lived a long, happy life, always surrounded by family.-She was the backbone of a large family.-She continues to be an inspiration to all who knew her.-She will be remembered in all the beautiful garden we see, blue skies, tall trees, and gusts of wind that she so loved to breathe in.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Romulo and Guadalupe Uvalle; daughter: Virgilia Vazquez; son: Rodolfo Vazquez; brothers and sisters: Dimas Uvalle, Santos Uvalle, Romulo Uvalle, and Manuela Uvalle.

She is survived by her children: Alicia (Tomas") Sandoval, Rosa Vazquez, Julian (Corina) Vazquez, Jr., Yolanda (Jose Luis) Aldaco, Rodolfo (Elisa) Vazquez, Gloria (Ruben) Mendiola, Heriberto Vazquez, Dora Elsa (Gerardo) Pina, Martha (Jose") Flores, Arturo (Alma R.) Vazquez, Francisco (San Juana) Vazquez, and Minerva (Alfredo) De Leon.-Also surviving her are 34 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and her sisters: Maria Gomez, and Dora Pena.
