Paulina Hernandez

June 22, 1939 — August 9, 2014

On Saturday, August 09, 2014, God called Paulina Hernandez, 75, into his loving presence, to be surrounded by the angels and saints in heaven. Paulina was born on June 22, 1939 to Pablo and Maria M. Hernandez, Sr. She grew up in Laredo and started working for the McDonalds franchise at an early age. As the years progressed, she grew with the company eventually reaching the management level. In 1984, she took a transfer to the San Antonio Metropolitan Area in order to continue her service to the national company. It is there that she was able to further her advancement in the company, having managed several locations throughout the metropolitan area. After a long and faithful career, she retired in 2002 and returned to Laredo to be near her family. Paulina was the matriarch of the Hernandez family, having always been headstrong and never giving up, even until her last days here on earth. We will miss you dearly, "Pali"; may you rest in peace and keep watch over us from heaven. She is preceded in death by her parents: Pablo and Maria M. Hernandez, Sr.; brothers: Bernardino Hernandez and Jose M. Hernandez. Left to cherish her memories are her siblings: Angelita Hernandez, Porfirio (Yolanda) Hernandez, San Juana (Piedad ) San Miguel, Maria A. Hernandez, Rosalinda (Guillermo) Aguilar, Julia Hernandez, Pablo (Mary) Hernandez, Jr.; as well as by a great number of nieces, nephews, other beloved relatives and friends. The family will receive condolences the evening of Tuesday, the 12th of August 2014 from 5 to 9 in the evening at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels, 719 Loring at Cortez. A Rosary will be recited at 7 that evening. Funeral procession will depart at 8:50 in the morning on Wednesday, the 13th of August 2014 to St. Joseph Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 in the morning. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow to the family plot at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
