Patrick Alexander, Jr.

October 10, 1966 — January 14, 2014

PATRICK HENRY ALEXANDER JR. October 10, 1966 - January 14, 2014 Patrick H. Alexander, Jr, devoted family man, great friend, hunter extraordinaire, avid Texas Aggie, loyal St. Augustine Knight, traveler, rancher and friend to many, died peacefully at his home on January 14, 2014 surrounded by his family after a graceful and courageous battle with cancer. Patricks love and dedication to his wife, Cristina Benavides Alexander and three daughters, Gabriela, Anna Lee and Karina was always evident in his words and actions. He was never happier than when he was surrounded by the beautiful women in his life. Patrick was also a devoted son and brother. He shared many hunting trips with his father Patrick Sr. and was always ready and willing to assist his mother, Diana, and sister, Monica, with anything they needed. Monica was by his side every day during Patrick's illness. Lifelong friendships were built during his days at Blessed Sacrament School, St. Augustine and Texas A&M University. All considered him a good and kind man. He was the type of man who would give you the shirt off his back. As an avid hunter, Patrick traveled with his family to Sonora, Iowa, Alaska and even to Tajikistan to try his hand with a rifle, a bow or a fishing pole. The stories that came back with each of his trips were always a welcome treat. His love of hunting and fishing led to his involvement with the Cola Blanca and inspired him to implement Bucks for Bethany, the donating of venison to Bethany House. Not only was he an accomplished outdoorsman, but he was also a great steward of the land. Patrick was also a former corporate member of the Boys and Girls Club of Laredo. He was a man of strong faith, strong family ties, strong body and mind, and strong in his sense of community. He will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles & Teresa Alexander; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Francisco B. & Lilia Rodriguez; as well as by his grandmother in law, Amanda G. Rash. He is survived by, his loving and devoted wife, Linda Cristina Benavides Alexander and daughters Gabriela Cristina, Anna Lee, and Karina Marie. He is also survived by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Alexander, Sr., sister, Monica (Robert) Alexander Gonzalez, mother-in-law Linda Rash Mann, father-in-law Carlos Y. Benavides, Jr. brother's in-law Carlos Y Benavides III and Guillermo D. Benavides, and numerous nieces and nephews.
