Otila Guerra

Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, Otila Guerra, 84, entered eternal rest in heaven on Wednesday, January 4th.-

Otila was the model matriarch of the family serving as caregiver to her children and later, their children.-She was uncharacteristically progressive, always facing challenges head on and instilling in her children a strong sense of confidence.-She lovingly cared for her husband, Alfredo, Sr., until his death in 1986.

She thoroughly enjoyed dancing and was independent well into her mid-70s.-She remained active at Retama Manor South in her later years, and the family is eternally grateful to the staffs of both Retama Manor South and West, and personal care-givers, Mari Rocha, Annabelle Perez, and Teresa Valdez.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mauricio and Otila Cardenas, her husband, Alfredo Guerra, Sr., her son, Jose Victor Gutierrez, and her sisters, Guadalupe Perez and Angelita Gonzalez.

Otila is survived by her children:-San Juana Gutierrez, Roberto (Herlinda) Gutierrez, Rodolfo (Rosario) Gutierrez, Yolanda Gutierrez, Alfredo (Guadalupe) Guerra, Leonel (Leonor) Guerra, Lorenzo (Maria de Jesus) Guerra, and Raul Guerra.-She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.-

Pallbearers will be:-Roberto Gutierrez, Jr., Ricardo Gutierrez, Rodolfo Gutierrez, Jr., Rolando Gutierrez, Jose Victor Gutierrez, Lorenzo Guerra, Jr., Raymond Gutierrez, and Jose Guerra.
