I finally made it home. I get to wrap my arms around my Daddy's neck, and tell him that I've missed him. Oscar Luis Cabello 61, died Friday October 16, 2015, with his family by his side. Oscar was born Oct 26, 1953 in Laredo, TX to Amparo and Rogelio Cabello. Oscar was the greatest father a child could ask for and an even greater grandfather because only the best dads get promoted to grandfathers. He was a loving, respectful son. His greatest gift was his love, patience and above all forgiveness for all. That is his legacy and for which he will always be remembered by those who loved him. His greatest love was children and his greatest happiness was his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Rosa Cabello, children Oscar L. (Brenda) Cabello Jr., Robert Cabello, Bernadette Cassy Cabello (Greg) Raney, Melissa Y.(Vincent) Hays Cabello, ,Rolando Saenz; grandchildren: Leyah A. Raney, Trysten 'T.J." Raney, Keean B. Hays Cabello, Ardley K. Hays Cabello, Alyssa Cabello, Nathan Cabello, AJ Cabello, Chanelle R. Saenz, Rolando Saenz, Caylee Cabello, Christian Cabello, Jonathan D. Cabello, Oscar L. Cabello, III. He is also survived by his beloved mother: Amparo Cabello; brothers and sisters: Rogelio Cabello, Jr., Sara Cabello-Thompson, Lily Barrera, Cesar Cabello, Victor Cabello, Gloria Pinedo, Daniel Cabello, Gerardo Cabello +, and Miguel Cabello + as well their respective spouses. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other beloved relatives and friends. Grief is the last act of love we have to give to those we loved. Condolences and visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2015 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels; 1410 Jacaman Rd.; with a Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. Funeral procession will depart on Friday, October 23, 2015 at 10 a.m. from the funeral home to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church for a Mass of Resurrection at 10:30 a.m. Pallbearers will be: Oscar Cabello Jr., Robert Cabello, Rolando Saenz, Vincent Hays, Greg Raney, Jose "Huey" Montemayor and Jonathan Cabello. Interment will follow at the family plot in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
