Omar Gutierrez

Omar Gutierrez, 77, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2014, peacefully surrounded by his family. Omar was preceded in death by her parents, Marcos (Ma. de los Angeles) Gutierrez, a sister Enedina G. Carmona, a brother Guty Gutierrez Sr.; and his ex-wife Paula C. Gutierrez. He is survived by his children Patricia Gutierrez, Omar Gutierrez Jr., Rolando Gutierrez, Ruben (Emily) Gutierrez, one grandson Rolando Rene Gutierrez; a brother, Jose (Obdulia) Gutierrez, and sisters Laura (Lloyd Jr.) Vaughn and Rosa Ma. Gutierrez as well as his sister-in-law Juanita Gutierrez. He is also survived by numerous loving relatives and friends. A Special thanks to Altus Hospice and staff; to all his doctors, nurses, and staff at LMC-2D for their utmost patience and care given to our father. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels, 709 Loring at Cortez, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the evening. A rosary will be recited at 7 in the evening in the chapel. A mass will be celebrated at San Luis Rey Church at 8:30 a.m. Funeral procession will depart the chapel at 8:00 a.m. All services will conclude at the church for a cremation service to follow at a later date.
