OLIVIA V. MACHADO

Olivia V. Machado, 98, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, December 10, 2015. She was born on April 5, 1917 to Manuel and Micaela Villarreal in Columbia, Texas.
Soon after, her family moved to Laredo, Texas where she was raised and lived the rest of her life.
It was in Laredo where she graduated from Martin High School, and then started working in retail as a salesperson of baby clothing. She also met Celso Machado, her loving husband of 17 wonderful years up till his passing.
Olivia was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished every living moment spent with her family. She was also a friend to many in need. Olivia was a woman of strong and steadfast faith, and also a life-long parishioner of San Martin de Porres. She fulfilled her commitment daily to God through prayer.
She is preceded in death by her husband Celso Machado; parents, Manuel and Micaela Villarreal; brothers and sisters, Homero (Silvia) Villarreal, Adelfa (Teofilo) Esquivel, Fidencia (Leon) Heller, Manuel (Maria) Villarreal, and Gil Edmundo Villarreal.
She is survived by her children, Diana (John) Argersinger, Celso X. (Veronica) Machado, Norma M. Machado; grandchildren, Michelle (Greg) Guilmentte, Erika Argersinger, Michael (Marianne) Maldonado, Luis Maldonado, Desiree Machado, Jon Eric Machado, Domonic Machado, ten great-grandchildren, and Rosita Bernal, her caregiver of many years. She is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, and other loving relatives and friends.
The family will be receiving condolences on Saturday, December 12, 2015 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels, 719 Loring at Cortez.
Procession will depart at 10:30 a.m. to San Martin de Porres Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m.
Pallbearers will be: John Argersinger, Luis Maldonado, Celso Machado, Antonio Gonzalez, Arturo Machado, and Alfonso Esquivel.
Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
