Olga De Los Santos Martinez, 77, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Wednesday, December 29, 2021.
She was born in Laredo, Texas to Alfredo G. De Los Santos and Hipolita Hernandez, youngest of four siblings. She attended Martin High School and graduated from Texas Woman’s University (TWU) with a teaching degree. She was an elementary school teacher for over 30 years. She was an active member of the Laredo Area Retired School Employees Association (LARSEA).
She was preceded in death by parents; Alfredo G. and Hipolita De Los Santos and her siblings; Dr. Alfredo G. De Los Santos and Miss Armandina G. De Los Santos.
Left to cherish her memory are her beloved children; Fernando S (Amanda) Martinez, Filiberto A. Martinez and Perla Anel (Cyndi) Martinez, sibling; Elena S (+ David) Mycue, her grandchildren; Dominic Filiberto Martinez and Evelyn Lee Therese Martinez, sister-in-law; Carmen E. De Los Santos and numerous nephews, nieces and other family and friends.
The family will be receiving condolences on Thursday evening, January 6, 2021 from 4 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels & Cremation Services, 1410 Jacaman Rd.; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 7 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday morning, January 7, 2021 departing at 8:30 a.m. from Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m.
Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Fernando S. Martinez Jr., Filiberto Alfredo Martinez, Ubaldo Duenas Jr., Luis Gerardo Duenas, Luis A. Blancas, Serafin Castrejon, Roel De Los Santos and Marcelo David Mycue.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Dominic Filiberto Martinez, Mark Tijerina, Sergio Garza, Alfredo J Mycue, and Joe Gonzalez.
The family would like to extend their most heartfelt gratitude to: Billy Renick, the staff at LMC Skilled Nursing Unit, Tonita Duenas and Erika Villarreal
