Olga Margarita Flores

Mrs. Olga Margarita Flores, 91, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Tuesday, July 6, 2021.

Olga M. Flores was a native Laredoan, graduate of Martin High School and Martin High School Tiger Legend (1998).  She made the insurance business her lifelong career and worked tirelessly to help all her clients with understanding and compassion during their hour of need.

Her deep faith and love for her family was her priority and she shared all she had to make her family thrive.  She loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters and brother, nieces and nephews and friends. We will always carry our special memories of that love she so willingly gave to all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fernando Jesus and Maria del Carmen (Olivares) Mendez; her husband Fidel A. Flores, and her sister Maria (Mendez) Gutierrez.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Edna M. (Sergio) Rodriguez, Elsa M. Flores, Fidel Armando Flores, Jr.; grandchildren, Sergio R. (Laura) Rodriguez, Jr., Alexa Marie Rodriguez, Joaquin A. (Elyza) Rodriguez, Christian D. Flores, Fidel Armando Flores III; great-grandchildren, Sergio Rodriguez III, and Noah Daniel Rodriguez.  She is also survived by her siblings, Fernando Jesus Mendez, Guadalupe MaCoy, along with other loving relatives and friends.

The family will be receiving condolences on Friday evening, July 16, 2021 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels & Cremation Services, 719 Loring at Cortez, where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 7 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2021 departing at 9:30 a.m. from Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the family plot in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Fidel A. Flores, Jr., Sergio R. Rodriguez, Jr., Joaquin A. Rodriguez, Christian D. Flores, Fidel A. Flores, III, and Arturo F. Gutierrez.

Honorary Pallbearer: Sergio R. Rodriguez.

The family would like to extend their most heartfelt gratitude to all who extended their love and support to the Flores Family during this time of great loss.  In addition, our sincere gratitude to our Mother’s caregiver Carmen Hernandez, for her love and support and for the many years of care she provided to our dear mother.
