NORMA RODRIGUEZ
December 21, 1937 – September 2, 2021
Norma Rodriguez, 83, our beautiful and devoted sister, Tia, friend and Mother figure to all, passed peacefully into the presence of our Lord on Thursday, September 2, 2021.
Norma was well known in her community and volunteered tirelessly at Holy Redeemer Church. She attended the Bingo weekly; there she sold her famous homemade empanadas, hojarascas, and pan de maíz. She also organized soda and candy sales as well as helping with the yearly Jamaicas.
Norma instilled the values of love for one another, faith in God, and honesty in our family. Norma helped raise her brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, and family friends. She was everybody’s Tia Norma. She impacted so many lives and for that she will forever be missed.
Norma is preceded in death by her father, Cornelio Rodríguez, mother Eulogia Galvan, brothers, Ramiro Rodriguez, Roberto Rodríguez, Daniel Rodriguez, Javier Rodriguez and sister, Manuela Jauregui.
Norma is survived by her sister, Armandina Gonzalez (Severo Jr.), and brother, Oscar Rodriguez (Leonora), sisters-in-law, Mary Helen Rodríguez, Raquel Rodriguez, Norma E. Rodriguez, brother-in-law, Enrique Jauregui Jr., longtime family friends, Amparo and Lourdes Ugarte and nephews and nieces, José Javier Rodriguez (Rebecca), Rene, Tyler & Robin; Claudia Diaz (Chris), Alejandro; Emmanuel Rodriguez, Sandra Podgorny (Charles), Cole & Leandra; Enrique Jauregui III (Diana), Adrian, Alexandra, Daniel & Bella; Victoria Jauregui, Kassandra; Timothy Rodríguez (Alexandria), Miles; Severo Gonzalez III (Fanny), Sevi & Serena; Susan Bustamante, Crystal, Lorenzo, Oscar & Noel; Zachary Ugarte; Tia Olga Guzman; Tio Juan Galvan; Cousins Marianela Neal (Patrick) and Arturo Salinas and Elida Corpus and numerous cousins and friends.
The family will be receiving condolences on Thursday evening, September 9, 2021 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services, 1410 Jacaman Rd.; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 7 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday morning, September 10, 2021 departing at 10:00 a.m. from Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels to Holy Redeemer Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m.
A private cremation will be held at a later date.
