Norma Barrientos

NORMA DE LA GARZA BARRIENTOS
OCTOBER 3, 1956 – JANUARY 13, 2021

Mrs. Norma de la Garza Barrientos, 64, entered into God’s heavenly kingdom on January 13, 2021 in Baytown, Texas.  Norma was a hard worker and dedicated mother.  She was employed most recently by the Laredo Independent School District at Leyendecker Elementary School, for 35 years, as well as being a member of the H.E.B. team at Saunders and Guadalupe for 30 years.  Her presence and memory will always be remembered.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Guadalupe and Cruz de la Garza; brothers:  Bernardo de la Garza and Guadalupe “Guada” de la Garza.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters: Jacklyn (Guadalupe) Amador, Norma Rodriguez, Shirlyn Rodriguez, Viridiana (Hector) Ruiz; grandchildren:  Amanda, Kassandra, Victoria, and Isaias Amador, Ashley, Jacklyn and Juan Villarreal, Brianna and Trinidad Moreno, Jeremy, Jocelyn and Jacoby Villagran, Hector Samuel and Angela Ruiz; great-grandson: Mason Pina; siblings:  Maria Cecilia “Cissy” Tellez, Melissa (Pedro) Medellin, Alma (Roberto) Lopez, Guadalupe (Gustavo) Galo, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

The family will receive condolences on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 from 4 until 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral & Cremation Services, 1410 Jacaman Rd, where a Prayer Service will commence at 7 p.m.

A Chapel Service will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2021 commencing at 9:15 a.m. at the Joe Jackson North Funeral & Cremation Services, 1410 Jacaman Rd.

Interment will follow at the Laredo City Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be:  Juan Villarreal, Jeremy Villagran, Trinidad Moreno, Jacoby Villagran, Isaias Amador, Guadalupe Amador, Hector Ruiz, and Honorary Pallbearer Samuel Ruiz.
