Mrs. Ninfa Bustamante Hernandez died peacefully early Tuesday morning, February 7, 2012 at her home in Laredo surrounded by her family at the age of 91.-Born on December 15, 1920, Ninfa was a life long Laredo resident.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jesus E. Hernandez; parents, Pedro and Antonia Bustamante; as well as her sisters, Elva Santos, Julia Barrera, and Amelda Ramirez.
Ninfa is survived by her children and their spouses:-Gracie and Robert Mirabal of Corpus Christi, Jesus E. (Jesse) and Zulema Hernandez of Sugar Land, Hector M. and Patricia Hernandez of San Antonio, Cynthia N. and Juan Collazo, Carlos O. and Tammie Hernandez of San Antonio.-Her 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren also survive her.-Other survivors include her brother, Pedro Bustamante, Jr. of Laredo and sister, Alicia Segovia also of Laredo.
Her special long time friend and caregiver, Julia Hernandez, also survives Ninfa.
A special thank you to her long time physician, Dr. Luis Benavides, her nurses, Vickie, Isabel, Margarita, and Pablo and all staff of Nurses on Wheels of Laredo who provided Mrs. Hernandez with the utmost care and compassion during her long illness.
