Nieves Lagunas, 87, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Saturday, February 05, 2022.
Mrs. Lagunas, was a housewife, Mother, Sister, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother. She was a very strong woman. She was courteous and very generous to everyone that needed her. She always wore a smile. Her positive outlook on life touched everyone she came in contact with. To us, (my sister and I) Mother was our Superwoman!! She believed in you and deserved nothing less from you. She was and always will be Nieves. She has gone to rejoice with the Lord. She will be missed and loved always and forever…
She was preceded in passing by her beloved husband, Jorge Lagunas; parents, Francisco and Maria Garza; children, Martha Lagunas, Jorge Lagunas, Jr. and Jaime Lagunas; brothers, Pedro Valdez, Bernardo Garza, and Diego Garza; and sisters, Petra Piña, and Maria Perez.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving daughters, Herlinda (Robert †) Hernandez and Hermelinda (Jesus) Valenciana; grandchildren whom she adored, Joe Luis (Deya) Jacuinde Jr, Patricia Hernandez, Jaime Valenciana, and Melanie Valenciana; and great-grandchildren, Alexis, Aubrey, and Christian Jacuinde and Javier and Jorge Valenciana. She is further survived by her sister, Isabel (Jose †) Lozano; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other loved relatives, and friends.
