ELIA J. & JUAN MANUEL MOLINA
October 24, 1935 – February 01, 2022
February 02, 1933 – February 01, 2022
A match made in heaven and now rejoined in heaven. Elia and Juan Manuel entered into our Lord’s heavenly kingdom together, as inseparable as they were in life, on Tuesday, February 1 st , 2022. Juan Manuel was just one day away from his 89 th birthday.
Elia was born to Perfecto and Josefa G. Jimenez who preceded her in passing along with her son, Fidel Molina.
Juan Manuel was born to Juan and Gertrudes D. Molina who preceded him in passing together with his wife, Elia J. Molina; son, Fidel Molina; and his siblings, Rogelio Molina, Blanca Garcia, Humberto Molina, Raul Molina, and Rosa Flores.
Juan Manuel and Elia were married for 67 years. Their story began on the block that they both lived on. Their eyes met and they were destined to live their lives together and create a lasting legacy in the form of a family together.
Simple pleasures brought great joy to Elia in her everyday life. She loved spending time in the kitchen cooking delicious meals for her family, tending to her garden, sharing pieces of her wit about life to those around her, and placing her highest value in her faith. She lit up her children’s lives by bringing unparallel amounts of happiness and laughter.
They say you can tell by someone’s hands how hard they’ve worked and how strongly they’ve loved. Juan’s hands were detailed maps of his hard work and his own heart. Spreading joy from an idyllic store operating from the backyard of the family home is where Juan found his pleasures. His ethic of hard work trickled down to his children over the years as they helped to load bales of hay and feed. Juan instilled discipline into the maps of his childrens’ hands. In their large family, everyone played an important role – especially Elia. She helped keep the books for the business while maintaining a house filled with love, laughter and sometimes chaos.
Left to cherish their memory are their beloved children, Aracelia M. Montalvo, Sandra Molina Rodriguez, Mandi Molina, Elia M. York (Michael), Sonia Bradley, Sara A. Narvaez (Gerardo Garza), Juan Manuel Molina, Jr. (Leonor), Irma Molina, Isabel Barberena, Patricia “Patsy” Perez (Raymundo Perez, Jr.) Raul Molina, Cynthia Friedman, and Rene Molina (Dina Zavala); grandchildren, Jacqueline, Cassandra, Fidel Jr, Christine, Megan, Sydney, Ninette, Fernando Jr, Wesley, Gilbert III, Liza, Robin, Trey, Karina, Tyler, Louie, Ivana, Ray III, Ricky, Robert, Kristalle, Raul Jr., Roel, Rene, Kimberly, Izac, and Sophie; 19 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Elia is further survived by her brother, Stanley Jimenez (Lucy). Juan Manuel is further survived by his siblings, Isabel Benavides, Homero Molina (Dolores †), Alejandro Molina, Antonio Molina (Leticia), Hector Carrizalez (Corina), and Rita Molina (Raul †).
