JULY 25, 1932 – OCTOBER 9, 2018

Mrs. Minerva B. Sandoval, 86, entered into the presence of the Lord on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 in San Antonio, Texas having been surrounded by her loving family at her side. Our beloved mother was a self-serving individual who always served the Lord by being a member of the Laredo Medical Center Auxiliary, a duty she took to heart. Mother was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court Isabella the Catholic and was a volunteer at Casa Amistad, a unit of San Antonio State Hospital in Laredo.

She is preceded in death by her husband: Calixto Sandoval; parents: Alfredo and Concepcion Benavides Sr.; brother in law: Rene Ramirez.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters: Sylvia L. (Armando Flores) Sandoval, Patricia (Javier) Martinez, Annabel (Philip) McCabe, Marie Lizette (Antonio) Ramos; grandchildren: Nicholas Zacarias, Rene Zacarias Jr. (Karla Maldonado), Joseph Anthony Ramos, Stephanie Marie Ramos, Callie Noel Saavedra (Sergio Orlando), Lauren Elise McCabe; great-grandchildren: Krysta Marie McCain, Audrey Herrera, Catherine Herrera, Desmand Zacarias, Dylan Zacarias, Jacob Alan Ramos, Joy Amira Ramos, Sergio Noel Saavedra; sister’s: Armandina Lopez, Irene Ramirez, Irma Campero; brother: Alfredo (Judith) Benavides Jr., as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A special thank you to her caretaker: Fe Luna, for her ultimate care, attention and love for our mother.

The family will receive condolences on Thursday, October 11, 2018 from 5 until 9 in the evening at Joe Jackson North Funeral & Cremation Services, 1410 Jacaman Rd.; Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.

Funeral procession will depart the chapel on Friday, October 12, 2018 at 12 noon to San Martin de Porres Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 p.m.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Laredo City Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Nicholas Zacarias, Rene Zacarias, Jr., Joseph Ramos, Stephanie Ramos, Callie Saavedra, and Lauren McCabe.
