Minerva Quintana

Our beloved mother, Minerva Fernandez Quintana, 81, was called by Our Lord on Thursday, August 2, 2012. She was born in Villa de Juarez, Mexico on April 8, 1931 and later became a long time resident of Laredo, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her first late husband, Jose Fernandez; second late husband, Juan Quintana; parents, Maximo De Leon and Antonia Martinez; brothers, Fortunato De Leon, Maximo De Leon, Juan De Leon, and Mario De Leon; son, Arturo Rene Fernandez.

She is survived by four sisters, Maria del Socorro ( Rodolfo) Trejo, Dolores Anastacia (Amador) Salazar, Concepcion (Rodolfo) de Cordova, Martha Alicia Martinez; fifty-two (52) nephews and nieces; nine (9) Fernandez children, Jose Felix (Alicia), Rosa Maria (Armando) Rodriguez, Ernesto (Beatriz), Sergio Antonio(Maria), Maria Angelica Lopez, Ricardo, Sylvia Diana Maldonado (Ricardo), Maximo Alejandro, Gerardo Javier (Ana); sixteen (16) grandchildren, Melissa (Bobby) Pena, Jose Felix Jr., Ernesto Jr., Sergio (Christine) Jr., Jose (Erika) Lopez Jr., Selina Annette (Joey) Sanchez, Roberto David (Juanita), Vanessa Lopez, Isa Maribel, Carlos Humberto, Ricky Jr., Rosa Salome Rodriguez, Giselle, Marlyne Dyan, Julio Cesar, Arturo Rene, Xenia Araceli; eight (8) great-grandchildren. She is also survived by seven (7) Quintana step-children, Rita (Raul) Molina, Rogelio (Juanita)Quintana, Raquel Peralta, Raul (Leticia)Quintana, Ricardo (Patricia) Quintana, Rosario (Carlos) Garcia and Alejandra (Joe) Quintana.
